Cellulite forms when fatty tissue deep in the skin pushes up against connective tissue. Fat melting injections

Fat melting injections consist of phosphatidylcholine (PC) and deoxycholic acid (DA) - a substance your body makes that helps to absorb fat, are used as an alternative to liposuction for the reduction of stubborn fat deposits which are hard to shift with diet and exercise alone. The PC induces fat melting (lipolysis) whilst the DA induces damage to the fat cells. There are several products which are used for this purpose like Aqualyx™, Kybella™ and different lipolytic cocktails which are injected using special lipolytic needles or very fine mesotherapy needles. Sclerotherapy is an injectable treatment for small, dilated veins, spider veins and thread veins usually located on legs which is an alternative to laser treatment. This harmless yet unsightly cosmetic condition may leave you self-conscious.
Consultation
Prior to treatment you will have a consultation to assess the severity of your condition followed by a customized treatment plan.
Procedure
A small amount of sclerosant is injected into the dilated veins using a very fine needle making them disappear after magnification with magnifying illuminated glass. After injecting the sclerosant the veins are compressed for 21 days and nights by wearing compression stocking until the injected tissue heals and obliterates the vein. Too early removal of compression will result in blood returning into the treated vein, clotting and causing brown staining which may last for several months or permanently.
Outcome
Sclerotherapy will result in disappearance of the treated dilated veins and thread veins after 2 - 3 months. Plan your treatment in advance to have flawless legs before the Summer months.
Adverse reactions
Adverse reactions are rare and may include brown discoloration of the skin, ulcers, red stains, or “matting” in case of hidden varicose veins and allergic reactions to the injected sclerosing solution.
Number of treatments
Number of treatments depends on the severity of your condition. Noticeable improvement will be noticeable after first treatment. Between 2 - 4 treatments 4 - 6 weeks apart are generally required.

with all injections you may feel some discomfort and a burning sensation during treatment. A numbing cream may be used 30-60 minutes before treatment to assure maximum comfort. An ice packed applied after the treatment will help to calm your skin.
Procedure
Sculptra™ is injected under the skin using fine needles, using sterile technique, leaving multiple deposits under the skin of the temples, cheeks, along the jawline and chin. Maximum two vials can be administered per treatment session.
Aftercare
You will be asked to massage the treated area of the face for 5 minutes, 5 times a day for 5 days.
Outcome
There may be an immediate improvement because of the swelling from the injections and the water used to dilute Sculptra™. After a few days the swelling goes down and the water is absorbed by the body. The effects of Sculptra™ treatment are noticeable after 6 weeks when a decision may be made to inject more Sculptra™.
Number of treatments
The number of treatments vary depending on the severity of the signs of ageing and age of an individual. A rough guide is to multiply the number of vials per decades of life.
Adverse reactions
The most common side effects with the use of Sculptra™ are injection related effects such as bleeding, tenderness , redness, bruising, or swelling. These effects generally resolve in 2- 6 days. The risk of nodules is minimised with post treatment massage.
