HOW IT WORKS

THE PROCEDURE
Skin is cleansed with a suitable antiseptic and moisturised prior to the procedure.
You will be wearing specialist goggles to protect your eyes. A laser beam will be passed over the treated area a few times.
In some cases, cooling with very cold air will be added for maximum comfort. Immediately after the procedure, you will receive a complimentary LED light treatment for its antibacterial and
healing properties.
RESULTS
Immediately after the laser procedure you may experience mild redness, swelling, possibly a burning sensation and darkening or disappearance of blood vessels.

IS MY SKIN SUITABLE FOR THIS TREATMENT?This treatment is not suitable for those with skin infections, within one week of chemical peel, within 6 months of oral Roaccutane or Retin A, within 2 weeks of topical retinol, recent ultraviolet (UV) exposure when the skin is still recovering from the inflammatory effects of sun, tanning beds, UV-curing lamps for nails, etc or PUVA therapy.

HOW DO I PREPARE MY SKIN FOR THIS TREATMENT?Prior to laser treatment you will be advised to use specialist skincare products to calm down any pre-existing inflammation, repair barrier function and suppress pigment production in the skin to assure an uncomplicated recovery. You should avoid sun exposure and use mineral, broad-Spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 + for 2-4 weeks before treatment.

WHAT'S THE RECOMMENDED AFTERCARE?Avoid rough handling, picking or scratching treated skin and hot water for 72 hours. Keep it clean, dry and moisturised. Avoid sun exposure, use broad spectrum mineral sunscreen with SPF 30+ and reapply it frequently. Avoid swimming, sauna, sunbeds, vigorous exercise and activity which causes sweating for 48 hours. Avoid normal make up for 4 – 5 days. Breathable, mineral make-up can be used sooner. Avoid shaving the treated area for 5 – 10 days. Apply specialist, recommended soothing agents. Avoid any perfumed products & exfoliants for72 hours after treatment.
